Her family law work includes international child abductions, international custody cases, complex jurisdictional issues, divorce, alimony, property division, prenuptial/postnuptial agreements, relocation, child custody and visitation, parental responsibility, child support, contempt and enforcement, domestic violence, and paternity. Ms. Nieto also handles uncontested divorces, complex contested divorces, modifications, domestication of foreign decrees, and emergency motions.

In her collaborative practice, she works to achieve voluntary dispute resolution in all family law matters. Ms. Nieto is a founding member of the Delray Chapter for the National Association of Divorce Professionals.

She was born and raised in South Florida where she received her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University and her law degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Nieto served as Victim’s Advocate with the Family Violence section of the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s office. Ms. Nieto held the position of Lead Article Editor for the ILSA Journal of International & Comparative Law and was also a coach and advocate for the International Law Moot Court Team, Jessup, where she participated in oral advocacy debates for two consecutive years in New Orleans.

Ms. Nieto is committed to making the legal process one that focuses on supporting families through transitions and crises to help make the family relationship stronger, rather than destroying it with prolonged legal battles. Ms. Nieto places a strong emphasis on community involvement and is a committee member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar and is a member of the South Palm Beach Bar Association, Broward County Bar Association, and Florida Association of Women Lawyers.

Ms. Nieto is fluent in both English and Spanish.
